Sand White Ghost Crab (Ocypode Quadrata)

Met this little guy (3-5 centimeters at most) running around the shore at Pipa, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. I find its camouflage both stunning and beautiful at the same time, as this guy can be seen only when its running around the beach, and running really quickly, I must say.

These crabs are very fast and could achieve speeds of about 10 miles per hour. This means that the distance it covers compared to it's body length, is greater than that of a cheetah!
